3. For Athletes
3.1 What information we collect
Adlete collects, via direct inputs, publicly available sources, as well as other partnership agreements some or all of the following fields of personal data in relation to athletes:
Identity data such as first name, last name, nickname(s), gender, nationality, date of birth, location and images of individual.
Professional data such as sport played by individual, role or position of individual in their sport, playing position, preferred foot or hand of individual, shirt number of individual, current and previous teams or clubs of individual, current league or division of individual’s team or club, associations related to individual.
Performance data such as appearance data, information relating to performance, awards received and other playing history data.
News data such as news relating to the individual that would hold relevance in the context of monetizing the athlete’s image/ personal brand.
Personal life data such as information about individual’s relationships with other athletes and sports professionals (e.g., where an individual’s family member is also an athlete or sports professional), interests, (e.g., hobbies), beliefs, values, languages spoken, etc.
Contact data such as social media handles, phone number and/or email address.
Preference data such as preferred brands, products and/or services.
3.2 Why we collect this information
Adlete collects and analyses this information to offer personalised partnership recommendations for athletes, brands and advertising agencies, as well as to continuously develop and improve its product and services.
3.3 Special category and sensitive data
The terms “special category data” and “sensitive data” have different meanings depending on where you live. Where applicable, this data may include health information such as details about injuries, height, and weight.
We only process publicly available sensitive data when legally permitted and for the purposes outlined above. We may also process it when necessary for reasons of substantial public interest, for legal claims, or to protect your vital interests (or those of someone else) if you’re unable to give consent, or you have already made it public.
3.4 Disclosure of information
For the purposes listed above, namely, to facilitate commercial partnerships between athletes, brands, advertising agencies and other third parties.
Furthermore, your personal data could be disclosed in the following instances:
for internal reasons, primarily for business and operational purposes, as well as to our subcontractors or third parties that Adlete works with;
if we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data will likely be among the assets transferred;
when legally required to do so.

3.6 Lawful Basis for Processing
Adlete relies on consent and legitimate interest as the lawful bases for processing your personal data. We take all necessary steps to ensure that data collection and processing is both fair and lawful. As a controller, we conduct legitimate interest assessments when relying on this legal ground, carefully balancing our legitimate interests against your right to privacy.
4. For Business Partners: Brand and Advertisers
When you register (or correspond with us via email) on behalf of the company you represent, you are considered a brand or an advertising business partner seeking to utilise the Adlete services.
4.1 What information we collect
You may provide certain personal data (such as name and e-mail address) when you sign up for any of the Adlete products or services or otherwise communicate or interact with us.
4.2 Why we collect this information
We collect and process the personal data in order to be able to:
respond to your questions and requests;
provide you with access to certain functions and features of our services and products;
verify your identity and/or carry out required due diligence, where appropriate;
communicate with you about your account and our services and products by sending marketing communications;
track and predict customer journey and conversion when you interact with our marketing communications by using machine learning;
carry out required due diligence
4.3 Disclosure of information
We may disclose certain Business Partner information to vendors, contractors, or others who assist Adlete in delivering its services.

If you receive Adlete emails, you can unsubscribe (opt-out) using the link provided in the email. Please note that unsubscribing will not prevent you from receiving notifications essential to providing Adlete products and services.

We collect the following information from you when visiting our websites and apps:
the internet protocol (IP) address of the device you are using.
cookie ID and other online user identifier(s);
information on how you use our websites and apps;
your device type, your browser type, your operating system, your screen resolution, and browser information;
date and time of access of our websites and/or Apps.
5.2 Why we collect this information
We aim to understand which services on our websites and apps appeal to you, in order to enhance the services, we provide and your overall experience when you’re using our websites and apps.
5.3 Disclosure of information
We engage various third parties to assist us in marketing or advertising to you. For instance, some of the cookies utilised on our websites and apps are from third parties that support Adlete in reaching out to you through marketing or advertising efforts.

7. How We Process Your Personal Data
Adlete processes your personal data at all times in compliance with the data protection principles.
Lawfulness and Transparency: When processing your personal data, we ensure that the processing is carried out in accordance with applicable laws. We endeavour to provide you with as much information as possible regarding the collection and processing of your personal data.
Purpose Limitation: Your personal data is collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with the original collection purpose.
Data Minimisation: We only collect and/or process personal data, which is strictly necessary for our services, which include processing of personal data.
Accuracy: We keep your personal data as accurate as possible, and you may correct your personal data at any time.
Storage Limitation: We do not keep your personal data for longer than necessary. See also Section 8 (How Long We Keep Your Personal Data) below.
Integrity and Confidentiality: We employ appropriate security measures to ensure the protection of your personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing, and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
8. How Long We Keep Your Personal Data
In instances where Adlete acts as a “data controller”, we delete all data once the purposes for which it was collected have been fulfilled (including for the purpose of satisfying any legal requirements).
In any case, the necessity to retain data is assessed by each business unit within Adlete, considering the legal and business purposes relevant to the processing of that data, as well as whether we can achieve those purposes through alternative means. This assessment considers the applicable legal requirements, the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, and the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or accidental disclosure of your personal data.
9. What Data Protection Rights You Have
Right to Access / Know
You have the right to request confirmation from us regarding whether we process your personal data. If we do process your personal data, you have the right to request access to it and to receive additional information concerning its processing.
Right to Rectification / Correction
You have the right to have your personal data corrected if it is inaccurate. Additionally, you can amend certain aspects of your personal data by reviewing and updating the information in your account settings.
Right to Erasure / Deletion
In certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we delete your personal data.
Right to Restriction of Processing
In certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.
Right to Object to Processing (Right to Opt-Out)

You have the right to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to have your personal data transferred to another controller, where technically feasible and insofar as the processing of your personal data is based on your consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract between us.
Right not to be Subject to a Decision Based Solely on Automated Processing, Including Profiling
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Right to Complain to a Supervisory Authority
Should you believe that we have violated any applicable data protection laws when processing your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the responsible Data Protection Authority.
Right to Withdraw Consent
You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data insofar as the processing is based on your consent. This does not apply if the processing of your personal data is required for the performance of a contract between us or if the processing is based on our legitimate interest.
